Due to the excessive heat and dry, dusty conditions, we will be headed to two local reservoirs for swimming, fishing (Wyoming fishing license will be required.) License can be purchased online at: https://wgfapps.wyo.gov/LoginPortal...ps.wyo.gov/elso/ELSOSportspersonLoginSSN.aspx. Licenses can also be purchased in person at the Big Horn Co-Op in Basin). Other activities at the lakes can include canoeing, tubing, hiking and exploring. This trip shouldalso ease the fuel burden for folks.
4:00 pm – Arrive back at camp
5:30 pm – ExUt Sponsored dinner (street tacos featuring pork and chicken) and other items
7:30 pm – Movie night around the campfire

Sunday August 11th

Breakfast good-bye’s and depart for home!

Notes:
We will be camping at a private cabin site. There will be endless well water, free firewood and plenty of camping space. Please feel free to enjoy the area. All we ask is that folks be respectful of the land and clean up after themselves! Please plan to pack out what you pack in.
The cabin has a shower and a normal ‘flushy’ toilet but the septic system wasn’t designed for 30+ people so I will also provide an outhouse like years past to limit human impact to the area.
Fuel will be our biggest concern as the nearest gas is in Basin, (3 hour round trip from the cabin), so if you have the ability tocarry an extra 5 gallons, it would be highly recommended.
There is a small IGA market in Basin, Wyoming if folks wish to stock up on any last minute items before Thursdays departure.
The ice cream on Friday will be for sale at the state park so bring some cash!
Dogs are welcome (our two will be the doggie ambassadors!)
There is a small fridge/freezer in the cabin if needed but coolers are preferred.
Camp trailers are welcome and if you are bringing one, I suggest leveling blocks as the terrain is rolling
Tent camping is also welcome. There will be a designated area that is free of prickly pear cactus and level. I believe it is an old Crow/Shoshoni native American hunting camp site, as there are plenty of chipped stones from arrowhead making.
The trail driving will be mostly forest service gravel roads with a few bumpy two tracks thrown in. We probably won’t need 4WD on the first day. You will need high clearance in several sections of the trail however. The second day might find some folks needing to lock the hubs as they explore the roads near Shell Reservoir and Adelaide Reservoir.
The slingshot contest is new this year. There will be two categories, wooden framed and wrist rocket style with a brace. Ammo will be provided!!

In sticking with pre-1989 tradition, the main form of vehicle communications will be via CB radio!! I know, I know…the quality is scratchy and the range is limited, but hey, this is Relic Run and there is enough heads up to allow folks to get one installed and tuned. We are trying to return Relic Run to its core principles and this is an easy way to start.

Cost: $50 per vehicle with ExUt membership
$75 per vehicle without

The fee’s will cover the portable outhouse rental, Saturday dinner, sling shot ammo, and a small Swag bag. A huge Thank You to the awesome folks at Fremont Motors in Powell for the goodies!!!

The usual Relic Run general rules will apply.

Not looking good for me either. Missing a few bits and pieces. Wasn't a good year for getting much done. I was promised floor boards by the end of the year.

Such a fun trip this year! We had awesome people with some awesome relics. We got to see alpine lakes and overlooks, desert, petroglyphs, and more. The ExUT sponsored taco night (Thanks Ryan and Morgan) was a 10/10 along with the VHS showing of Tremors (Thanks Mike). Bob and Amy provided a base camp that is unrivaled with views of Northern Wyoming. Thanks again and thanks to those who worked behind the scenes. It was fun to get the ol’ Toyota relic out of her normal 250 mile radius/comfort zone.

A big thanks to Bob for putting together an epic run. Letting us come play in your lesser known playground was awesome. Here’s a few of my favorite pics from the weekend. As much as we love vintage rigs and vast Views, it’s the people that make these events worth showing up to. Thanks again to all that helped out.
