Here's a pretty good story on some of the history of a few of the Bingham Canyon mining towns, including some stories with former residents of Lark, Bingham, and the surrounding areas.

City Weekly - Mining Memories

I drive past where Lark used to be all of the time, and I had no idea that it was there until as recently as 1978. Some good photos in that story too.

For Oregon, I ran into this guy at the state fair and he seems pretty cool. More oriented toward easy-to-reach and many that are just road junctions anymore, but history is always interesting and I love having more options while out in the sticks.

I am slowly working through the condensed "compendium" volume of this set, and mapping/finding locations into coords in TOPO! (back to my original goto mapping).
